Your ski day is almost over, but the fun can’t and shouldn’t stop. Can we end the day with music and lots of
laughter in the best après-ski spots at the foot of the ski slopes in Val di Sole?
But first, let's take a step back and start from the basics: what does Après Ski mean?
Après-ski (pronounced [apʁɛˈski] in French; [aprɛˈʃiː] in German) or after-ski (respectively, French or English for after-skiing) refers to social activities and entertainment after a day of skiing where you can drink, relax, dance, and mingle.
So, what do you need to engage in this demanding late-afternoon sport?
The technical preparation required for après-skiing is very simple: once you are at the bottom of the slope, you just need to worry about unfastening your skis from the bindings and, if you want to have fun comfortably, put on a pair of comfortable shoes instead of ski boots (also to avoid multiple fractures to your companions' metatarsal bones). Only true après-skiing pros can take part with ski boots on, but you might not be ready for that just yet.
As for the physical preparation needed for the activity, we prefer not to go into too much detail (and we're sure you'll understand why we can’t comment on that). The only thing: hydrate responsibly, without overdoing it.
