If you book your vacation at least 30 days before your arrival, in one of the participating accommodation facilities, insurance coverage will already be included in the price of your stay if by chance you need to cancel your vacation before or during your stay.
That’s right: during these uncertain times, we want you to look forward to planning your next vacation without any worries at all and that’s exactly why we’ve decided to provide you with an insurance policy that will cover the cost of cancelling your vacation due to any unforeseen events. You won’t have to worry about any cancellation charges, not even in the event of mandatory quarantine or if active surveillance is required for a family member who is up to a second-degree relative, that has tested positive for Covid-19. This insurance policy also covers other types of unexpected situations that may affect your departure or your stay in Val di Sole (ex. illness, injury, pregnancy complications and much more).
If you are a citizen of the European Union* and you book an 'Insured Vacation', the accommodation facility will activate your insurance coverage on your behalf after they have received your booking deposit. Go to the 'Special Offers' in the price section of each accommodation facility in the following list.
* Insurance coverage can be activated for all citizens that reside in the European Union and in the EEA: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Croatia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malta, Norway, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Czech Republic, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Hungary.
The insurance policy will refund your booking deposit and any cancellation charges that have already been paid. You will receive a refund minus a maximum 10% deductible, according to each specific situation in which a deductible can be applied. If by chance you have to cut short your vacation, the insurance company, and not the accommodation facility, will refund the part of your holiday that had to be cancelled.
This insurance policy covers:
Each policy holder has a maximum 8.000€ limit of liability.
The deductible rate may vary from 0%, in the event of death or hospitalization for more than 3 days, to 10% of the total amount that will be refunded including the booking deposit and cancellation charges, in all other cases. The deductible is always paid by the policy holder.
Self-isolation of the policy holder due to a positive swab test is covered by the policy as it certifies to all intents and purposes the presence of an illness.
Self-quarantine, for healthy individuals who have come into close contact with other individuals who tested positive and who could potentially be exposed to the risk of infection, can be covered by the insurance policy if contact occurred with a family member who is up to a second-degree relative.
Active surveillance (cases for which daily contact with a health worker is required in order to check the patient’s health conditions) is also covered by the insurance policy, provided that it concerns a family member who is up to a second-degree relative.
In case of lockdown, quarantine or active surveillance for family members that are beyond second-degree relatives, the insurance policy does not provide any type of coverage. You can however contact the accommodation facility to verify the commercial conditions that each facility applies for any booking deposits that have already been paid. You can also ask for a voucher equal to the amount of the insurance premium, that can be used within 18 months, to activate an insurance policy with the same insurance company for your next trip.
Choose an “Insured Vacation” (go to the 'Special Offers' in the price section of each accommodation facility) and the facility will directly activate the insurance policy for you.
For further information, contact the accommodation facility where you will be booking your vacation.
