10 TIPS TO ENJOY TREKKING WITH CAUTION

  1. Study your route before you set out

  2. Choose a trail suited to your physical fitness and experience level

  3. Bring the appropriate gear and equipment with you

  4. Check the weather forecast before heading ou.

  5. Hike with a companion—never go entirely alone if possible

  6. Share your itinerary with someone at home before you leave

  7. When in doubt, rely on a professional guide

  8. Follow the trail markers and official signage

  9. Do not hesitate to turn back if conditions or terrain get too difficult

Some advice for exploring the mountains while respecting nature

  3. Do not pick flowers or plants

  4. Do not introduce non-native species

  5. Report invasive species

  6. Keep your distance from grazing animals

  7. Observe wildlife from afar
