Route immersed in the Adamello Brenta Natural Park reaching the Pison waterfall, where the clear waters of the Meledrio stream flow.
Pleasant walk in the woods in one of the wildest environments of the Val di Sole: the Val Meledrio. Here the waters of the Meledrio stream will accompany you, while your gaze will fly towards the Sasso Rosso, which stands out with its unmistakable shape and color.
This route is part of the One In A Million project.
Here you can take part in an experience of art, relationship, and participation that will guide you along the water routes of the Val di Sole, and will make you discover how the valley community creatively imagined its vision to protect the environment and future generations. Rules for mountain walks:
Near the Hotel Belvedere in Folgarida (1350 m), take the "Ronzola" path on the left and descend to the Pont del Pastin, a wooden bridge crossing the Rio Meledrio. Do not cross it and continue left towards the Val Meledrio, a valley with a mysterious charm. Continue until the fork which on the left leads downhill to the Pison Waterfall. This last stretch is not accessible with a stroller, and if you still want to catch a glimpse of the waterfall, stop at Pont del Pastin.
From the waterfall, with another hour's walk you can continue the stroll towards Dimaro, passing by the Val Meledrio Ecomuseum where you can visit an ancient lime kiln, an old forge, and the Venetian Sawmill, then reach the village. Return by the same path or by bus from Dimaro back to Folgarida (download timetables).
You can reach the hamlet of Folgarida by local bus (download outbound and return timetables here). The Folgarida Belvedere stop is just a few steps from the start of the route.
Take SS42 and at Dimaro, pass the roundabout keeping the direction towards Folgarida. Once you leave Dimaro village, the road continues towards Madonna di Campiglio. After 7 hairpin bends, you reach the large parking lot of Piazzale Belvedere, where the route starts just a few meters away.
You can park in the Piazzale Belvedere parking lot.
