A loop itinerary with high scenic value, dedicated to the mysterious world of geology, which finds significant and original expressions on this route.

A thematic route that embraces the world of stones and in particular metamorphic and igneous rocks, which tell of a remote past and the evolution of the alpine landscape, while also offering memorable scenic views and a visit to the spectacular Saènt Waterfalls.

The Trentino sector of the park is characterized by the presence of metamorphic rocks, i.e., rocks that have undergone pressures and temperatures such that they have transformed relative to their original protoliths. The metamorphics of Val di Rabbi are mainly mica schists, derived from the transformation of fine-grained sedimentary rocks (clays or muds) subjected to mild variations in thermodynamic conditions. Additionally, rock bodies resulting from the transformation of igneous rocks (orthometamorphites) also outcrop. The route also takes us to the Saènt Waterfalls, the most spectacular in Stelvio National Park.
