Pleasant walk leading from the clear waters of the Caprioli lake to the green pastures of Valpiana.
A path starts from Malga Bassa di Fazzon leading to the enchanting Valpiana, located above the village of Ossana. Prepare to witness the beauty of this valley, hanging perpendicularly to the Val di Sole: green pastures, fresh waters, and rocky walls will leave you speechless. Set off and admire the beauty of this location, because it is really worth it.
Rules for mountain walks:
Just before the Malga Bassa di Fazzon (1279 m), take the forest road on the right that crosses the dense fir forest of the Monte Salvat ridge separating the Valle di Fazzon from the green meadows of the Valpiana basin (1221 m). From here, after a simple 15-minute walk, you reach the homonymous malga (1311 m). Here you can lie down on the cool grass surrounding the malga and enjoy a break in the sun, or taste some cheese produced by the malga's cheesemakers while watching the cows grazing. The return is planned along the same route.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE:
To reach Monte Salvat instead, after the Malga Bassa, continue towards the lake until you take the uphill path on the right. From here, you climb a total elevation gain of 400 m to the summit of the mountain from where you can enjoy a beautiful panorama. It is then possible to descend via the dirt road that joins the connecting road between Fazzon and Valpiana, and from there return to the starting point completing a loop. Before taking the path, it is advised to contact the valley Information Offices to check its accessibility.
You can reach Pellizzano by Trentino Trasporti bus line MALÈ - MEZZANA - FUCINE - VERMIGLIO - TONALE (download the departure and return schedules) or by Trentino Trasporti bus line MALÈ - MEZZANA - FUCINE - COGOLO - PEIO (download the departure and return schedules).
