Simple walk that leads from the center of the village of Mezzana, which will enchant you with its steep narrow streets typical of mountain villages, to the rushing waters of the Mezzana Waterfalls.
Low difficulty route suitable for everyone starting from the center of the village of Mezzana, where you can admire the church of Saints Peter and Paul and the Sanctuary of Madonna di Caravaggio and that reaches the roaring waters of the Mezzana waterfalls.
Rules for mountain walks:
The simple route that leads to the waterfalls starts from Piazza Trento, in the center of the village of Mezzana, a mountain village named precisely because of its location in the valley. In the square, before setting off, the parish church dedicated to Saints Peter and Paul and the Sanctuary of Madonna di Caravaggio definitely deserve a visit. Built next to each other, the two churches are true architectural testimonies: the first was built between 1498 and 1536, and the second starting from 1707. After visiting the two buildings, start the route along Via Maturi for about 150 m and cross the Rio Spona. Then take the road on the right that leads to Piazza della Novalina, from where you take the “Plazöle” road on the left, and after 500 m continue on the right to reach the waterfall. The return is expected along the same outward path.
To undertake this walk, we recommend wearing hiking boots and a hat and carrying a waterproof jacket, sunscreen, and a water bottle in your backpack.
