A simple thematic route suitable for everyone that takes us to discover the fascinating world of woodpeckers.
A circular route, accessible for most of the year and suitable for everyone, especially families looking for easy hikes. Following this interesting thematic itinerary, we are guided to discover the peculiarities of the woodpecker world, helped by some informative panels along the route. The typical environment of woodpeckers is wooded: the forest can offer these species a place to feed, raise their young, and live safely away from predators. The larch forest that characterizes the route features trees sufficiently spaced apart, which guarantees good visibility even in an environment seemingly less suited for wildlife spotting.

Directions
The route starts at the parking lot located in the Cavallar area and proceeds with a slight ascent towards Malga Terzolasa - Malga Samocleva - Malga Caldesa, crossing a characteristic larch forest.
