This easy itinerary takes us to discover the symbols of the rural culture of the valleys Val di Peio and Val Di Rabbi, the mountain farms, original realizations of the mountain rural architecture, and the dairy Casél di Sombrabbi, an ancient dairy used as a thematic museum where you will see all the historical equipments used for the processing of milk into cheese.The dairy Casèl di Somrabbi is a priceless testament of the history and culture of the valley Val di Rabbi. It was an important reference point for its small community, a working place which represented the social and economic organization of people living in the Alps. Thanks to the restoration work carried out by the park Parco Nazionale dello Stelvio, this building was rebuilt respecting the local typical construction techniques and has become a museum where equipments used for the processing of milk into cheese have been exhibited.As symbol of the rural community the mountain farm is quite common in the area of the valley Val di Rabbi and it is considered one of the main expressions of the mountain rural architecture. This kind of construction is perfectly integrated in the alpine landscape thanks to its architectonical elements, which are entirely adapted to feature of the mountain environment.
