Safety information

It is advised to use a bike with a cushioned fork and with hydraulic brake discs. We reccomend that you be competent and in full control of the brakes on downhill rides.  We also advise that you join a local bike school and take part in some local organised tours.

Please note that the practicability of the itineraries in a mountain environment is strictly linked to the contingent conditions and is therefore influenced by natural phenomena, environmental changes and weather conditions. For this reason, the information contained in this page may have changed. Before leaving for a tour, make sure the path you will approach is still accessible by contacting the owner of the mountain hut, the alpine guides or the visitor centres of the nature parks, the info offices of the local tourist board.

Starting point

The arrival point of the Daolasa or the Folgarida - Malghet Aut telecabina

Directions

From the telecabina station proceed in the direction of Malghet Aut and the Malga di Dimaro where we suggest you to make your first stop to see the preparation of the milk and to taste the local produce. From the malga take the dirt - road (you could find some very uneven stretches on this road) and head towards malga Darè. Proceed until reaching the crossroads which lead to Campo Carlo Magno.  From here continue uphill for 500 metres and take the lefthand path which runs around the golf course until meeting the dirt road for the malga Mondifrà. From here carry on downhill on an easy dirt road. Travelling alongside the main road remain on the dirt road until reaching the junction for Folgarida. Remain on the downhill dirt road along the beautiful Val Meledrio as far as the wooden bridge, from here there is a a climb of about 100 metres. This is the start of a pleasant downhill ride to Dosso di Santa Brigida and finally the village of Carciato.
