Please note that the practicability of the itineraries in a mountain environment is strictly linked to the contingent conditions and is therefore influenced by natural phenomena, environmental changes and weather conditions. For this reason, the information contained in this page may have changed. Before leaving for a tour, make sure the path you will approach is still accessible by contacting the owner of the mountain hut, the alpine guides or the visitor centres of the nature parks, the info offices of the local tourist board.
On arrival with the telecabina from Daolasa you take the dirt road to Monte Vigo and to Rifugio Orso Bruno, 2.159 m asl (refreshments and a striking view of the Dolomites). From here a descent on a very stoney road towards Malga Panciana. Immediately below, divert to the left towards Rifugio Orti. On a short but expert path (pay attention to the wooden steps) you reach the forest road which brings you to the lakes - Malghet di Mezzana. Now a downhill run to the hairpin bend. From here there is an easy dirt road which leads to Malga Fazzon. From the malga a downhill ride on a forest road bringing you to Fazzon from where the road is tarmacked right up to Lago di Caprioli. After a ride around the perimeter of the lake you can cycle down towards the car-park (close to the car park is the recently restructured Malga Bassa Fazzon which hosts a visitor centre featuring the Brown Bear.) From the car park there is a dirt road, turn right at the first junction and continue along the road ‘of the gnomes’ which immediately brings you to the penultimate hairpin bend on the road from Pellizzano to Lago di Caprioli. Carry on to the next sharp bend where there is a path close to the ski jumps and on to the cycle path which will take youback to Daolasa.
