Once you reach the malga, you will not be able to resist the temptation to take a photograph of the splendid view you can admire from above. Let yourself be enchanted by the unique glimpse on Val di Peio and the majesty of the peaks of Punta Taviela, Vioz and Cevedale. If you are lucky, on the right on a particularly clear day, you can also observe the Refuge "G. Larcher", overlooking Cime Nera and Marmotta and the Passo Vedretta Alta.

Safety information

For a mountain hike we suggest you:

  • choose a route suitable for your preparation level. If in doubt, contact the Alpine Guides or our Information Offices
  • prepare your hike: check the weather forecast, the route you will follow and the operating hours of lifts if your itinerary requires them. Remember that the accessibility of routes in a mountain environment is strictly related to contingent conditions and thus depends on natural phenomena, environmental changes and weather conditions. Therefore, inform yourself well about the route and its conditions before leaving
  • leave information about your itinerary, expected return time and bring your mobile phone
  • pay attention to the signs and markers you find on the route: Stelvio Park signs, SAT signs in white and red and red and white marks on stones or trees
  • book in advance the malga or refuge where you plan to stop to eat or sleep
  • never leave waste on the mountain and, if possible, avoid leaving it at the refuges or malgas you visit
  • if you see wild animals along the route, stay on the path you are following, do not approach too closely, do not shout and keep your dog on a leash to avoid chasing and scaring them
