After leaving the Còler parking lot, continue on a dirt road to the Stablasolo and Stablét mountain huts. A shuttle bus service (active in July and August) connects Còler with Malga Stablasolo.
From the hut, take trail number 106, which climbs beside the famous Saènt waterfalls, to reach Dos de la Cros. Continue along the trail, which descends briefly and crosses the charming Saènt plain. Once past the homonymous hut, the route ascends again through the last stretches of larch forest and soon opens onto the large high-altitude meadows. Continuing along the Alpinists' trail, you reach the Dorigoni Refuge, from where the Sternai lakes nature trail starts. The nature trail connects with trail number 101 that leads back to the Dorigoni Refuge, from where you take trail 106 back downhill to reach the Còler parking lot.
