Easy difficulty route leading through a comfortable cycle path to the Laghetti di San Leonardo in Vermiglio.
Starting from Ossana, this simple circular route develops along a cycle-pedestrian path until reaching the suggestive Laghetti di San Leonardo, where in summer it is possible to take a short break to enjoy a picnic in nature or simply to let the little ones play on the slides and swings in the meadows surrounding the lakes. The route then continues with slight ascents and descents until reaching the hamlet of Cortina di Vermiglio and returning to Fucine.
Starting from the Municipality of the Comune of Ossana, where you can conveniently leave your car, cycle towards Vermiglio along the new section of the cycle-pedestrian path and following the Vermigliana stream, you reach the Laghetti di San Leonardo. Here you can take a break to relax in the meadows along their banks and enjoy a picnic with friends before setting off again, riding towards Cortina, a small hamlet of the Comune of Vermiglio. Once you reach the village, return towards Ossana and with some short ascents and descents you return to the starting point.
During your stop at the Laghetti di San Leonardo, the little ones will have fun thanks to the many mostly wooden play structures in the area.
You can reach the town of Ossana by the TRENTO - MALE' - MARILLEVA train (download departure and arrival timetables) and then by the local bus service (download departure and arrival timetables). Ossana is also reachable with the convenient Smartbus service, where you can also transport your bicycle.
Follow the SS42 and when you reach Ossana, turn left and take provincial road 202, continuing until you reach the municipality.
You can leave your car in the parking lots near the Municipality of Ossana, where there are parking spaces reserved for disabled people.
Depending on your skills and fitness level, this route can be done on both e-tandem and e-handbike.
Remember to bring a snack, water, and a repair kit including inner tube, pump, vulcanizing fluid, patches, and a set of tools for quick repairs.
