Paradice Music takes place at an altitude of 2600 meters dominated by one of the most majestic glaciers of the Alps. The concerts take place from 4 January to 30 March 2024 every Thursday and Saturday afternoon in the Paradice Arena, a large igloo-theatre at an altitude of 2,600 meters amidst the snow expanses of the Presena Glacier.

The Paradice Arena is the fascinating setting of the new format which combines music and architecture. It is an ice theatre that can host up to 200 people.

Also the instruments played by the Paradice Band led by Roberto Marzucchi are made of ice: some of them are guitars, basses, violas, horns, ukuleles and even the didgeridoo. The icy instruments are artworks which perform incredible visual and acoustic effects created by the skilled hands of Lino Mosconi, Giorgio Tomaselli and Matteo Aielli: three artists born and raised in Ponte di Legno and Vermiglio who know these peaks very well and have learned to shape and carve the ice by transmitting all their passion to these instruments.

The Paradice Band is an ensemble of musicians with various artistic backgrounds, that will accompany spectators through the marvellous world of Paradice Music. Every Thursday, a different theme: from the 60’s to Italian music, all with instruments made of ice created by two artists, Lino Mosconi and Giorgio Tomaselli. Every Thursday a different concert with various music genres and well-known songs is performed. Every Saturday the Paradice Arena hosts nationally and internationally renowned artists.

Entry from 15 minutes before the start of the concert, upon validation of the purchased voucher. Thermal mountain clothing is recommended (Passo Paradiso at 2,600 m). The ticket is non-refundable, the buyer has the right to a refund of the ticket price only if the event is officially canceled by the organization.

PARADICE ORCHESTRA

The Paradice Orchestra makes its debut this year at the Paradice Music Festival. It arises from the collaboration of the established local rock band Los Locos Armando's with pianist Massimo Faes and the eclectic Phenix, an unconventional all-female string trio. The result is music that bridges the sacred and the profane, merging rock and classical genres. Every Thursday, it presents monographs on great pop-rock artists and themed nights, experimenting with both modern and classical arrangements to blend pop, classical, and contemporary music.

The extraordinary story of the Fab 4 begins in the late 1950s during the Rock and Roll era, but from the mid-1960s onward, the Beatles laid the foundation for all contemporary music by exploring different genres. Timeless and boundary-breaking music.

A NIGHT WITH STING AND THE POLICE
Mr. Gordon Sumner, also known as 'Sting,' is one of the pillars of Pop music. The Paradice Orchestra will sketch his profile, starting from the early successes with the band 'The Police' to the more refined and contemporary productions, with influences from World Music.

LUCIO BATTISTI TRIBUTE
When music transcends generations and becomes immortal. From beach bonfires to mountain refuges, Lucio's songs have echoed for years. The Paradice Orchestra will be dedicated to capturing the great successes of Lucio and presenting them with ice instruments.

STARMAN - BOWIE NIGHT
The true story of the man who came from space. A trailblazer in every sense, without Bowie, half of the music we listen to today wouldn't exist. Pop music becomes classical, rock, glam all at once. Grand harmonies and orchestrations merge in songs that have made history.

QUENTIN TARANTINO - CINEMA NIGHT
Soundtracks are often the secret weapon behind box office hits. Someone who has turned it into an art form is Quentin Tarantino. A music enthusiast himself, Tarantino has discovered real gems and immortalized them by pairing them with memorable scenes in his films. It will be a very Pulp evening.

THE ICED SIDE OF THE MOON - PINK FLOYD TRIBUTE
The Paradice Orchestra opens the doors to the psychedelic and surreal world of one of the most important bands to ever exist. No special effects, bare, natural, and with ice instruments. A unique show, a date to mark on your calendar.

A DAY AT THE GLACIER - QUEEN TRIBUTE
Great performers but at the same time great musicians, Queen has united everyone with songs that have become cult classics. The Paradice Orchestra will make you rediscover some of the most famous songs of the historic English band, rearranged and adapted specifically for ice instruments.

MAKE ROCK NOT WAR
The theme is unfortunately very current. When music is against. Against wars in general. The Paradice Orchestra will let you hear the most famous songs written to convey messages of peace, sung and shouted even when it seems like no one wants to listen. We'll try too.

RINO GAETANO TRIBUTE
An uncomfortable, elusive character, far from the masses, Rino Gaetano never hesitated to speak his mind. His songs are something unique in the Italian musical landscape. Lyrics and music are pure and impossible to categorize images. The Paradice Orchestra will attempt it in a tribute concert to one of the greatest figures of Italian song, often unjustly underrated.

ROLLING STONES TRIBUTE
The dinosaurs of rock, the world's longest-running band. The Rolling Stones may have a certain age, but their music doesn't age, quite the opposite! The new generations seem to be following in the footsteps of these authentic living legends.

IL GEGHEGÉ - ITALIAN 60'S BEAT
The Italian beat, that of Piper, Capannina, twist... Italy in the 60s discovers rock and roll. Dance floors packed, clubs, and ballrooms. Everyone on the dance floor for this live performance that will make the entire Paradice Dome dance... to the rhythm of Geghegè.

The Paradice Dome transforms for one evening into a warm dance floor, for a live performance inspired by 70s Afro-Disco-Funk. Don't forget the wig and bell-bottom pants! The Paradice Orchestra will take care of the sound. Get up and boogie!

APRES SKI FOLK. SPECIAL GUEST: FIAMAZ
The exuberance and charm of «Fiamaz» & company, along with the Paradice Band, will create a concert with a Tirol Folk flavor. A show filled with «Jodel» and «Oberkrainer», worthy of the best Oktoberfest. Don't come if you don't want to dance.

ITALIAN UNDERGROUND
There's also non-mainstream Italian music with a large group of enthusiasts. The Paradice Band offers a musical journey into the Italian underground scene. Perhaps less known, but certainly no less important and of high quality.

UNPLUGGED IN PARADICE
The magical and romantic atmospheres of the great MTV Unplugged sessions recreated in the evocative setting of the Paradice Dome. No distortions and no effects. The spotlight is on the bare, «unplugged» instruments. Unplugged means returning to the purity of sound without sacrificing anything.

 

24 FEBRUARY 2024

THIS IS ENGLAND
The British Invasion lands at the Paradice Music Festival. An evening dedicated to the greatest performers of the English school in recent decades: Queen, David Bowie, the Beatles are iconic artists we all know. The Paradice Band presents the greatest hits of the most famous songs Made in England.

IT'S ONLY FROZEN WATER - SURF MUSIC NIGHT
Imagine the water flowing down from the Presena Glacier, pouring into rivers and valleys, eventually reaching the sea at the end of its long journey. The sea itself will be the protagonist of this concert by the Paradice Band with surf music, taking us back to the waves, beaches, and sun. Surf up!

90'S GRUNGE MUSIC
In Seattle in the 90s, a genre destined to make history was born. The last true great cultural and musical movement before the advent of computers and auto-tune. Nirvana and Alice in Chains are just some of the bands from that era. The Paradice Band takes you back to those years dominated by flannel shirts and combat boots. Let’s rock!

IRISH FOLK. SPECIAL GUESTS: MYSTIC OWLS
When it comes to Irish music, the Mystic Owls are the absolute reference. Together with the Paradice Band, the Mystic Owls will take you to a land where green has a very particular shade, and the beer flows like rivers, for a concert that's all about dancing. Sláinte!

When music meets poetry. Italy has made history in this regard, with some of the greatest authors. De André, De Gregori, Battiato... The Paradice Band will guide you through a musical journey where the music is indeed important, but so are the words.

FILIPPO GRAZIANI
Since 2019, Filippo has been dedicated to promoting the wonderful repertoire of his father, Ivan Graziani, through live performances. These shows contribute to introducing a new generation to an artist who marked a turning point in Italian rock.

BACK TO THE STARS: COLDPLAY TRIBUTE BAND
The music of the famous British band will warm up the icy atmosphere. Not only the music but also the choreography, the stage design, and the live style are just like Coldplay's! The group consists of Andrea Debiasi (vocals and acoustic guitar), Claudio Torresani (drums), Romano Benedetti (bass), Massimo Faes (keyboard/piano), and Daniele Matera (electric and acoustic guitar).

VALENTINE'S DAY CONCERT
Paradice Music presents a special edition for Valentine's Day. The acclaimed international trio consisting of Noémie Schellens (operatic singer and actress), Kobe Baeyens (baritone), and Maarten Vandenbemden (guitar) will demonstrate that opera can be something warm. It will be a concert focused entirely on emotions... after all, it's Valentine's Day.

MORGAN
Marco Castoldi, known as Morgan, is a singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, writer, composer, music educator, and talent scout. An eclectic and versatile artist, his work spans various musical realms, including songs, film and theater soundtracks, and even directing an opera. His productions also delve into extensive research, ranging from classical music to vocal synthesis. True to his style, Morgan's live performances are characterized by spontaneity, allowing him to improvise monologues without a fixed setlist. In his hands, music is a malleable substance, something to shape, mold, build, and modify at any given moment.

FABRIZIO DE ANDRÈ ENSEMBLE
On stage, nine artists from different regions with diverse musical influences come together. From Alto Adige to Veneto, from Friuli-Venezia Giulia to Calabria, from Sardinia to Peru, they bring with them instruments of utmost importance: guitar, bass, violin, and percussion.
All this contributes to a refined repertoire that aspires to elegantly revisit all the evolutionary stages of the career of the Genoese singer-songwriter. Simultaneously, it has the capability to unleash a musicality in line with the most appreciated instrumental developments that de André himself refined over time. This results in a convergence of genres and styles with a very strong emotional impact.

At the high-altitude restaurant Passo Paradiso, the culinary experience is elevated, precisely at 2,585 meters. On select evenings, after the 6:00 PM concert, in the cozy and warmly atmospheric dining room with a view of the glacier, guests can savor specialties that result from the fusion of gastronomic traditions from Trentino and Lombardy. The high-altitude dinner menu includes appetizers, a duo of first courses, a main course, dessert, water, wine, and coffee..

The «Stars Below Zero» dinner features a Michelin-starred chef with a highly original menu proposal. A special dinner on Saturday, February 3, 2024, after the 6:00 PM concert, will delight your palate thanks to Michelin-starred chef Alfio Ghezzi, Chef of the SENSO Alfio Ghezzi MART and InAlto Alfio Ghezzi Dolomites restaurants, selected in the MICHELIN Guide Italy 2024 with one star. Alfio Ghezzi's honest and responsible cuisine is rooted in mountain life experiences. Musical accompaniment by Elodea.
