From June 15-18, two important international events will take place in the charming town of Mezzana right in Val di Sole: the Wildwater Canoeing World Cup and the Rafting Eurocup in addition to two national slalom canoeing and kayak cross competitions. The organization of an international canoeing event in Val di Sole, and more specifically right on the Noce River, is finally back. The prestigious portal called «Kayaking Holidays» has declared that the Noce River is one of the top ten rivers in Europe and the best kayaking river in Europe.
Four days of competitions during which the world’s top athletes will compete in various whitewater disciplines: downriver, slalom and canoe. In the last few decades, Olympic champions and some of the world’s most well-known athletes have all taken on Val di Sole’s thrilling rapids: the Downriver Canoeing World Cup is getting ready to make its way back to Mezzana after 17 years.
Over 400 athletes from all over the world will take part in this action-packed competition program. There will also be several side events taking place to fully enjoy this fantastic weekend.
