Pejo has a long standing history concerning thermal treatments and therapy due to the numerous mineral springs in the valley. The beneficial properties of its three mineral springs called Ancient Spring, New Spring and Alpine Spring are used to treat arthro-rheumatic, vascular, otorhinolaryngoiatric and gastrointestinal pathologies and urinary tract disorders.
Carbon dioxide baths and mud therapy, that uses mud steeped at the thermal centre, are both effective remedies for joint and muscle inflammation. Phlebological therapy takes advantage of the abundance of gas and mineral nutrients of the New Spring to stimulate venous and lymphatic circulation. Inhalation therapy is effective in treating chronic illnesses in the upper respiratory tract.
The thermal centre, which was recently renovated, now has a new and refined interior design plus state of the art technology. It also has several spa, fitness and beauty areas that are a great addition to the thermal spa. The cosmetic products that are used in all of the beauty treatments are made with mineral water from the Alpine Spring and active ingredients from various plants and local products.
