WHAT TO EXPECT /ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION
It’s dawn. The sun’s rays peep over the Brenta Dolomites.
The thin grass of the peat bog glistens in the dew.
The silvery flash of fish is reflected in the clear waters of Lake Malghette.
The cry of an eagle mingles with the whispering of the wind: the trees dance, the leaves rustle, the scent resin fills our nostrils.
Nature is awake.
Tiny blurred shadows advance together, stepping lightly, as if barefoot on ground too fragile to be trodden.
We’ve been up since 5 o’clock, a hot thermos of coffee and the silence our only companions.
There it is. A well-defined footprint, its contours sunk in the muddy terrain.
There’s a fox nearby our guide tells us.
INTERESTING FACTS
The path winds its way through a portion of Val di Sole’s Sentiero dei Pastori (“Shepherds’ Trail”).
Meeting point at the Campo Carlo Magno cross country skiing centre.
WHO ARE WE
The Adamello Brenta Nature Park is one of the largest protected nature areas in Trentino and through the many activities that we organize we also want visitors to get to know the natural beauty of our territory.
The Park’s experts will accompany you on this wonderful adventure, as they pass on their enthusiasm and passion for the mountains.
WHAT WE SUPPY
We will provide a spotting scope with 60x magnification to view across great distances, binoculars, and material to jot down animal trail information, to help you better understand your surroundings.
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE
Suitable for hikers with a good fitness level. Minimum age 12 years
The difference in height is approximately 300 metres and we will encounter different types of terrain: forest dirt roads as well as more challenging trails in the woods, across boardwalks, meadows and soft pine needle carpets.
EQUIPMENT/CLOTHING
We recommend wearing hiking shoes, waterproof jacket, mountain clothing, hat and small hiking backpack for the hike.
MEETING POINT
Meeting point at the car park of the Campo Carlo Magno Cross Country Skiing Centre. From there, we will follow the Park expert in our own vehicles along a dirt road until we reach the Piana delle Malghette.
The location can be reached by car along the SS 239 between Folgarida and Madonna di Campiglio.
