Wildlife Area Runcal

Stelvio National Park

Description

The Stelvio National Park Wildlife Area, located along the road that runs from Peio Fonti to Peio Paese, is home to stags and roe deer that are accustomed to the presence of visitors.

Here you can watch these ungulates close up in their natural habitat, observe the dynamics between the animals and gain a good understanding of how a key founding principle of the Park - environmental protection - translates into action.

The deer house (casa dei cervi) acts as an education centre, with infographic panels illustrating the characteristics and habits of the species that live there. The carefully designed set-up encourages children and youngsters to learn more about the lives of the animals in the Stelvio National Park through play.

Group visits can be requested by calling +39 0463 909770 or writing to parcostelvio@provincia.tn.it

Times may vary according to organisational requirements. Please contact the Wildlife Area to verify opening times.
