An immersive Experience of Nature, Art and Sound in the Heart of the Stelvio National Park
In the heart of a forest of firs and larches, within the Stelvio National Park, a truly unique trail awaits you: the Fruscìo Sound Park. This immersive itinerary blends nature with music, art, and the meaningful silence of the alpine woods.
The trail winds through seven sound and sensory installations, designed to enhance and amplify the natural sounds of the landscape:
Wooden chimes resonating among the trees,
Giant carillons suspended between trunks,
Drums carved directly from logs,
Huge horns that let you hear the forest like never before.
The path also leads you through places of rare beauty, such as a circular amphitheatre made of polished metal, reflecting the sky and treetops like a mirror of water, and a “triangular field” featuring three wooden totems filled with books, magazines and curious objects to explore while admiring the surrounding panorama.
The final stop is a tribute to the great pianist Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli: look up, and you’ll discover, nestled between the branches ten meters above the ground, a grand piano suspended among the conifers. A breathtaking installation that will stay with you.
The Fruscìo Sound Park is an equipped trail in an alpine environment: its beauty lies in the surrounding nature, but this also requires caution and respect for the territory.
We recommend that you:
Wear mountain clothing and footwear,
Check the weather conditions before setting out,
Approach the trail with care.
From the Val di Sole, take the SS86 road towards Val di Rabbi. Just before Bagni di Rabbi, turn off for Piazzola and then follow the road to Cavallar. At the end of the paved road, you will find the Cavallar parking lot, where your adventure begins.
Proceed on foot along the trail or forest road leading to the Artisé, Cespedé, and Paludé mountain huts. After about 30 minutes of walking, you will reach the official entrance to the park and the first sound installation.
From here, the path winds through trails, woods, and stretches of forest road, connecting all the installations of the Fruscìo Sound Park.
