WHAT TO EXPECT /ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION

Look forward to a relaxing afternoon just for you.
Pull on your mountaineering skis and, after a quick technique lesson, we will set off through the woods of the Stelvio National Park, learning about its secrets and its essence. Just you, the silence of the snow and the emotion of seeing an animal print or the shape of a larch tree. Having reached our destination, you will receive a basic lesson in snow science and then it’s downhill all the way on the Pejo3000 slopes to the Bochèr Après Ski, where a delicious zero-mile afternoon snack awaits.

INTERESTING FACTS

Pejo3000 is the first plastic-free ski area in the world. This project, set up in 2019 and shared by local tourist operators, is just the first step of a path of many stages, where milestones and goals are taken from the Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development drawn up by the UN.

WHO ARE WE

At the Val di Pejo Italian Ski and Snowboard School we are all young people born and raised in Val di Peio. We know all the secrets of these woods. Our great passion for snow has led us to study skiing techniques in depth and with enthusiasm, turning a hobby into a career.

this experience is worth it

1
This experience takes place in the Stelvio National Park, where environmental protection is guaranteed. Listen to nature and the silence all around you.

WHAT WE SUPPY

The Val di Pejo Italian Ski School will provide transport from Peio Fonti to the excursion starting point, ski mountaineering equipment hire (boots, skis and poles) and an afternoon snack at Bochèr Après Ski.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE

This experience is only for the physically fit who love the mountains and want to try an alternative kind of skiing.
You don’t have to be an expert skier, but you must be able to complete a red slope for the downhill return.

EQUIPMENT/CLOTHING

The ascent requires thermal top, fleece, waterproof trousers, light jacket and gloves.
Bring with you a backpack with hot tea or water, a snack in case of a blood sugar crash, helmet and jacket for the downhill part.
If you tend to sweat heavily, we recommend you bring a change of thermal top.

MEETING POINT

The meeting point is the Val di Pejo ski rental, near the bottom of the Pejo Fonti-Tarlenta cable car.

IN CASE OF BAD WEATHER

In the event of snow, this activity will take place anyway, but the organisation reserves the right to cancel if really bad weather is forecast.  Should this happen, you will be given plenty of notice.
